The lot of animals here is pretty unfortunate. I already mentioned the wild packs of dogs that roam the streets and the parks. Since the G8 I've seen more and more around, though far less than before (seeing as a lot of them were killed). I see them in the park almost everday, and outside the meat/fish shop near the institute, and the other day I saw one eating a dead pigeon on the street. Gross. I'm kind of scared of them so I don't have any pictures right now.
There are cats everywhere too. This lady is on Nevsky everyday with her animals, begging for money or selling them.
